- Nike Men's Free SB Prm Skate Shoe size 10.5 US
I literally have people that send me messages until I respond. One of those was a question about my shoes and where to get them. I'm not sponsored by Nike, but I like the fit. I love Vans Shoes as well. You can search those on Amazon too while you're at it. I like the low profile look, dark muted colors and comfort. These particular shoes are not the most comfortable out of all the shoes I do have and use onstage, but the look of these is the key factor here. They look exactly how I like shoes to look.

- Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 6 by Adobe

If you use Mac computers.. and you need to edit photos or video.. this is for you. All my photographer homies got me into this app. It's like photoshop but works with video too. It's great. Use with Adobe Photoshop and Premiere.

 - Jaybird X2 Sport Wireless Bluetooth Headphones - Midnight Black

I just bought my 4th pair of these because I'm absolutely hooked on the convenience and freedom of being completely wireless. Why 4 pairs? Good question. I got my first as a Father's Day gift a year or more ago and they lasted all year till they just wore out. I used them every day. Then I ordered the newest version (the X2's) and immediately dropped them on the street when I was getting the mail on my way home one night. The next morning I found them at the top of the driveway smashed up by a passing car (probably me!) so I ordered another pair. They worked amazing until I was in Hollywood doing some shows and they somehow disappeared from my life. I just got my newest pair delivered to my door and they sound great and work great. I just need to keep my eyes on them so they don't run off.

If you’re like me and eat a lot of avocados, this is a must have. It keeps your avocados perfectly fresh after you cut it, and it’s dishwasher safe! Books - Recommendations

Kids Books - Children's Books - Books I read my kid

- Cat Nap -
Cat Nap & Early Bird were written by our favorite Bremerton author, Toni Yuly. We don’t know Toni personally, but she lives close by and we stalk her when she goes on walks in our neighborhood. Cat Nap is about a cat who really just wants to get some sleep but keeps getting bothered by an adorable and annoying little kitten. Early Bird is about a bird out for a morning walk, and just when you think the story is about to turn dark for one of the characters, it turns around into something sweet and everyone gets to enjoy a happy ending. Sailor loves both of these books and we can’t wait to see what stories Toni comes up with next.

- Early Bird -

This is a nice little story. About a bird that was ahead of the game.

- Stick and Stone -
Stick and Stone is about a stick and a stone building an unlikely friendship against some pretty serious odds. Life throws a few curve-balls at these two, but they tough it out and end up on top. The artwork is really cool and it teaches a great lesson about not being a bully and sticking up for your pals. It also taught my daughter what the numbers “zero” and “one” look like she was just a wee babe. (She would outline the shapes of the numbers with her finger and say the words out loud. Adorable.)

- Outstanding in the Rain -
This book (and its author) are indeed outstanding. They didn’t have books like this when I was a kid. My childhood books were about creepy clowns or someone falling down and breaking their crown or bridges falling down- so much disaster and devastation! This is a new breed of book- a really cool story about a kid enjoying his birthday with his mom- and some incredible artwork that makes it so fun for pre-readers to enjoy. Lots of play on words in this one, too, which makes it fun for grown-ups to read over and over and over and OVER and OVER and… you get the point.

Mike's Books-
- The Alchemist -
I've talked about this book a number of times on the podcast. It's a really easy read with an invaluable message.

- War of Art -
I base my life off this book. At least my professional life. Actually, no let's go back… I base my life off this book. Everyone should read this. It's so simple. Stephen Pressfield had hit the nail on the head.

- Mastery -
Every book written by Robert Greene in important. This is his latest or close to. I got a package in the mail from one of my favorite authors and it was Robert sending me a signed copy of this book. I was floored and am grateful to have it. But the lessons and words inside the book have value well beyond my own personal experience.

- 48 Laws of Power -
This was the first book I read by Robert Greene and it's eye opening.

- Ego is the Enemy - by Ryan Holiday
Brand new book by one of my favorite authors who also happens to be a fan. I was interviewed during the research process by the author Ryan Holiday for this book.

ERNIE BALL PRODUCTS I USE

Bass Strings I have used for as long as I can remember. I've tried and do use others but this is what I use for my everyday use on bass for MXPX.
- Ernie Ball Regular Slinky Nickel Wound Bass Set, .050 - .105 -
Green Pack

- Ernie Ball 2220 Power Slinky Nickel Round Wound Electric Guitar Strings 3 Pack -
Electric Guitar Strings that MXPX has used forever!

- Ernie Ball Earthwood Medium Light 80/20 Bronze Acoustic Set, .012 - .054
These are a good middle of the road acoustic string. I also use the Everlast line of acoustic stings. Same gauge. Medium Light.

I get asked specifics about almost everything I use in my life. The questions start with my favorite musical instruments and sound equipment on down to what exact model of shoes I'm wearing.

So that's my list. It's utilitarian, fun, versatile and most of all these products are easy to get (aside from the paying money to get it part). Everything below is available to be delivered to your door from Amazon.com and that's how I like it. I'm constantly traveling so I don't like to also travel even a few miles to shop for things I can get delivered by little Amazon drones. Ok, that's a joke that someday may not be, but for now everything works so well with online ordering. I have Amazon Prime so I can just plop something in the cart (prime products) and get it 2 days later free of shipping charges. I don't even know what the price is right now for subscription but it's worth it (as of May 2016 it's $99/year.) You can read reviews, ask questions.. I just read the reviews. And once I find something that works, I keep buying it. We just keep ordering the same few household items over and over. Everything on this list has been purchased by me or my household. These are items we use at home, at work, on the road, with MXPX or just because they work well for my life or my family's in some way. Notice I didn't call this the BEST list or my TOP or Absolute Favorite Things list, it's just My Favorite Things cause WWOD? What Would Oprah Do? Is it overly personal to tell people exactly what kind of inflatable pool I bought my kid? It's sitting in my front yard as I type this. I had to drain it today to move it off the grass area. I know from many summers with inflatable pools that they kill the lawn if you leave them in one spot all summer. That's a big no no. So it's only weird if you make it weird. Oh, and the slippers I've been padding around the house in all winter? Yes, kind of embarrassing, but they are warm and insanely comfortable like having soft puppy dogs curl up around your feet. No more licking please!

Why these products and this list? Most of these items were on our Recent Orders list so I just thought it best to start with what we have in our house right now and is something I use right now.

This list will change as I find more items that I like better. I may switch out items also if they are no longer available. I was addicted to this Hemp Seed Granola that I was getting in bulk and all the sudden it was gone. Discontinued. We were told they had to change some ingredients but it's still not back in stock. It's been half a year at least. Times change. Habits can too. Time moves faster than our willingness to try new ways of navigating our always changing and growing world and in this case, marketplace. But that's the key. Try new things till you find the systems that work for your life and that you love. And this goes without saying: you can't find fulfillment or happiness in material items. But the right tools can make the job of living a good life.. more efficient and simply just better. We all want the Best Life out there. That starts with knowing what's out there. Thanks for checking out my Favorite Things List. If you find variations or other great items you love, let me know about them by commenting below. I will surely see those. Also, I tend to answer back on my Twitter, Instagram, or Snapchat so ask me @MikeHerreraTD. If you have any questions about any of these products please comment on the blog post! Thanks!

If you have found something you absolutely love and has changed your life for $100 or less, please share it with me. I'd love to do another list of my friend's favorite things too! You could be on it! This list is for everyone however if you live outside the U.S. there are additional fees. These items are all sold in my region (United States).

Any of these links will support my podcast as an Amazon affiliate link. Thank you and I hope you find some items that can improve your life. That's what it's about for me. If I like it, I keep buying, reading, listening and watching.
